We welcome Astrid Rees as the new chair of the Friends’ Association from January 2019. The money raised by the Friends’ Association of Abbey School is invaluable.
On average, we raise over £10,000 a year to enhance the school, buying educational resources and helping to improve the school environment. Recently, thanks to the generous support of many parents and local businesses, the children of Abbey School have benefited from such things as brand new playground equipment, Numicon maths resources and new interactive white boards in every classroom.
Do you shop online?
Did you know that whenever you use eBay, Sainsbury’s, Amazon, M&S, John Lewis, Boden and many more you can raise funds for Abbey School? Online shoppers can raise a lot of money for the school without spending an extra penny. This applies especially to holiday bookings!
All you need to do is register for easyfundraising HERE then when you are ready to shop instead of going directly to the retailer website, log into easyfundraising first and click on the retailer you want to shop with. You’ll then be taken to the retailer’s website where you shop as you would normally but because you visited easyfundraising first the school gets a donation.
If you prefer, as an Amazon customer you can also use smile.amazon.uk to fund raise for the school directly via the Amazon website.
