Abbey School has been asked to provide a Key Stage 2 choir of 30 children for a service in
Westminster Abbey on Monday 11th March for the Royal Commonwealth Society. The service is to
be held on Commonwealth Day with 2,000 people in attendance.
The Queen as Head of the Commonwealth will attend along with the Royal Family, the Prime
Minister and High Commissioners of Commonwealth Countries. The Abbey School children will
sing before the service and attend the service, which will be filmed by the BBC. Mrs Baker and Mrs
Price are both excited and looking forward to accompanying the children. Orchestra will not take
place after school on this day.
