Sports Day 2017

June 2017 Sports Day had a traditional theme. All 210 children participated in a sprint and a relay race. The children were assisted by our Year 6 Sports Bronze Ambassadors and Sports Leaders, under the supervision of our Sports Coach Mr Morgan, supported by St Albans School Sixth Form students who work with us every Friday afternoon.

Members of the Governing Board and Friends’ Association assisted with the smooth running of the afternoon keeping the scores for the four Key Stage 2 Houses and four Key Stage 1 Teams. The Key Stage 1 winning Team was Yellow Team and Key Stage 2 Sports Day was won by Mark House marked with new plaques. Well done to all the children who thoroughly enjoyed the event.

New this year, after the Year 2 or Year 6 sprints were run the children were thrilled to cheer on their mums and dads in an 80m race for willing parents! A new tradition going forward!
